Undergraduate Research

To participate in an undergraduate research project with a faculty member at Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Mathematics, you can use one of the following ways:

MAT 4070 and MAT 4079 Project: Before starting your senior year, you can contact a professor whose research areas sounds interesting to you to supervise your project course and determine your project topic.

MAT 4073 and MAT 4074 Guided Undergraduate Research I-II: You can contact the instructor of this course, which you can take as an elective in your senior year, and learn the field of study determined for the semester. If this field interests you, you can join the study groups that will be formed within the scope of the course.

TÜBİTAK 2209 A – Research Projects Support Program for Undergraduate Students: The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) funds research opportunities for undergraduate students through the 2209-A program. Once you identify the project problem, you can talk to any faculty member working in the related field to advise on your project. Then, you can apply as a principal investigator for your project within the deadlines determined by TÜBİTAK. For more information you can visit the following page:
