Abstract: This will be the first of a series of talks devoted to some topics around the Sezemerédi Theorem. In this first talk I will concentrate on the van der Waerden theorem. I will formulate a dynamical version of this beautiful theorem. I will try to state the results in a way which will lead us to a similar theorem leading us to the Szemerédi theorem.

Abstract: In this talk, we make an introduction to  number fields and cover some properties of their ring of integers. Next, we define the class group of a number field. Finally, we define Dedekind zeta function for a number field and give the analytic class number formula.
